We were recommended to Kate from our ACT/SAT Test Prep Coach are have been very pleased with the results. Our daughter was admitted to all 10 schools that we applied, which included a mix of safeties, matches and reach institutions including Top 30 schools and with meaningful merit aid.

We used Kate primarily around the application essay development process as well as validating our initial college selections and application submission phasing. Kate did a great job working one-on-one with our daughter to develop a meaningful and personal Common App essay. Sometimes as a parent it is difficult to approach this process without causing strain between you and your child.  Kate was able to not only help our daughter put on paper a compelling narrative that linked her journey to her intended college major and career interests, but also to facilitate peace and harmony on the home front. In addition, to the Common App essay, Kate also worked with her on several supplemental essays that some of the more competitive schools required. My daughter appreciated Kate’s direct but supportive demeanor. Kate was also successful in pushing our daughter to go beyond just the initial 1-2 drafts and put more heart and soul into the essays which I believe were the difference between getting acceptances over rejections or waitlists.

Everyone applying to top schools has great stats and wonderful extracurricular activities. In a world of perfect applicants all of whom can do the work academically, schools are compelled to look beyond the facts to get a true sense of how that student will enrich their campus environment and the essays (along with the confidential teacher recommendations which are out of everyone’s hands) are a critical component of getting moved to the Yes pile. Using Kate’s services have definitively been a worthwhile investment on our part!!!

I did accept UGA as a CURO Scholar in the Honors Program.  I also just found out in the last couple of days that I received a $2500 scholarship from my church, the $12,000 PLUS Foundation Scholarship ($3000/year); and $1000 for the WellStar Wellness Ambassador Award.  My school had asked for us to list the scholarships that we received, so when my mom totaled everything in the spreadsheet, it came to $453,040.  In reality, I can't use all of this money because most of it was from different colleges, so it only applied if I attended that school.  However, with the Zell Miller, CURO and my outside scholarships, I did receive $66,208 to be used towards UGA!  This makes all four years of UGA less than one year at Vanderbilt, so it would be hard to justify the extra expense even if I did get off the wait list.

I really enjoyed working with you this past year, and I know that I could not have done this without ALL of your help! Thank you for all of your time and energy in making my college search successful!

I wanted to let you know that I am going to UNC and am really excited about being a Tar Heel. I ended up being offered the Morehead-Cain scholarship and the Stamps Presidential Scholarship at Georgia Tech. After a lot of thought, I decided on the Morehead-Cain.

Happy spring! I don’t know if my daughter has reached out to you to let you know, but she has chosen USC and is very excited about it! We all visited for the admitted students day the other weekend and my husband and I just loved it. She was invited to be a Capstone Scholar and that program sounds really amazing. She was also awarded in state tuition and an additional academic scholarship of $2,000 a year. All in all, it gets the tuition closer to what we would pay with the Zell if she were to attend UGA. My husband and I are viewing the extra money as the “happiness factor” and we think it will be well worth it in the end.

I want to thank you for all your help and guidance in this process.  I’m glad we didn’t try to tackle it on our own the first time around. While it was painful at times to see the stress and anxiety it caused our daughter, I think your no nonsense approach and organized method helped her keep on track and manage things.
